MacBook Pro 13 Mid 2009 Bad Video card

I have a macbook pro 13 (mid 09) with a bad video card (nvidia 9400m 256m). I found out it has a bad video card by running apple service diagnostic software. It failed the video card test. Does anyone have experience getting their video card repaired for this model. Can you get it repaired or do you have to get a new logic board?

The repair is a new logic board as its soldered to the board.

I haven't heard of one going bad before. But common or not common...it would seem that yours is bad.

A new logic board is pretty much the solution...but in many cases...the cost of a new logic board doesn't make financial sense compared to the value of the laptop.
