Set wmv files to open with VLC?

Quicktime won't open divx/avi files?

I installed the divx for mac but I still can't get quicktime to play the file. What exactly do I need to do?

I'd install Perian and Flip4Mac. That'll let you play just about anything with anything.

To get a file type to open VLC. Right-click the file - Get Info.

Change the 'Open With' to VLC

Thanks. I did exactly that last night. The issue I was having was that there was a divx codec left in my quicktime library that was causing a conflict.
