I've searched around a bit and am thinking about upgrading to a macbook pro, mostly for future use, as it is not upgradeable. I use computer for real estate work, some photo editing, etc. I usually run basic apps like email, 3 safari windows, iTunes, and open office at the same time. If it matters, I also have a 3g iPad I keep with me on the road.

ALSO, this won't really be costing me more than $100 to make the change so money isn't the issue.

Current:
1.86 Macbook air 13"
2gb ram
128gb (only use about 1/2 of it)
Just purchased used (1 year old, 280 BATTERY CYCLES)
320M graphics

Thinking of:
2.3 Macbook Pro 13"
320gb hardrive
4 gb ram

Thanks,
mike

Your Mac's Specs
Black MacBook 2.2GHz C2D, 4GB Ram - iMac G4 700MHz, 512MB Ram
Are you going to sell your MBA to buy the MBP? If so, I'd say go for it, if you don't need the portability of an Air, the Pro is a far more future proof machine.

I would do it. Then you can eventually swap out the HDD for an SSD and upgrade RAM to 8GB. You can even use the optical drive for extra space if you have no need for it eventually.
Use the iPad for the portability and enjoy the power and speed of the MBP.
