Power Mac G4 processor upgrade?

I have a PowerMac G4 (mirrored dual drives, 2002ish if I recall) and am wondering if it is possible or even worth it to upgrade to an Intel processor/motherboard combo? The machine has never failed me, except for a hard drive, and seems to still be working quite well, but now I am getting to the point where it is too old for certain software requiring a high level OS, which requires an Intel processor.
Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,
Royer

No, buy a new Intel iMac or try ebay if money is tight.
