Problems after resetting pram

So I just reset the pram on my MacBook pro. Followed all the steps everything seemed okay but now it's stuck on the grey screen and nothing Ive tried has worked. Any suggestions?

Did you keep the Command, Option P and R keys held down until after the third set of chime?

Boot from the system DVD and run Repair Disk and see what is reported there.

The problem is I restarted the pram because it wasn't reading disks and I wanted to exhaust all possible solutions before taking it to the store. I tried using the disk but it still isn't reading disks. Is there anyway to do it without a disk?

Try resetting the SMC. See this LINK. If that works, and you feel up to it try doing another PRAM reset.
