Downloaded programs wont open?!?!?
Hi, I have a g4 and just installed osX and updated to 10.2.8 which I will be leaving as is for a while. I try to download programs such as mozilla, filesharing, etc. Once the download is finishished it goes to my desktop and the icon is just a plain document style notepad looking symbol instead of a program. When I click on them, it attempts to open these with quicktime.I got rid of quicktime for now.It still says "this file does not seem to be compressed" blah blah and says that there is no application to run the program. Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks soo much for your time. Matt
