Hi all

sometime back my backups stopped working. The drive I am using is a western digital. The drive appears to be fine as I can hear it spinning but t seems like the mac isn't recognizing that it is there.

I tried unplugging it for some time, IRC I think I did overnight, but that has not helped.

Any ideas anyone please ?

many thanks in advance.

Also try launching Disk Utility and see if the drive is seen there. If so, verify and repair the disk.

I don't recall possibly not , I suspect at that stage the disc was already not showing as being present.

have looked in disk utility and it does not show
