It Just Works!

I just finished configuring a new Dell Inspiron 620 for my 82 year old mother. Due to her age, I had to make it simple and as trouble free to operate as possible. After cleaning up the Dell bloatware, updates, more updates, configuring antivirus software, and dealing with all the Windoz "crap", I appreciate my Mac now more than ever. I had almost forgotten what a PITA Windoz machines were. I love my Mac...it just works! . . . just sayin'

Well if mom is happy leave her be. Use a Dell 640 Latitude and it is okay for what isn was designed for - a cheap portable machine.

If you REALLY loved your mom, you'd buy her a Mac.

I was SO happy when I started and set up my MBP, and discovered that I had ZERO "new system maintenance" to do. I will *NEVAR* use a Windows setup again.

It just works

I have a Dell Inspiron 620 and an iMac, they both are good machines,comparing one against the other, the Dell was half the price of the Mac,but it does the job just fine.

Exactly, that's what I did. Now I don't have to re-image her PC every other year! Best thing I ever did.
