The App Store is Snow Leopard/Lion only. You can't get it for Leopard (10.5).

You can download quite a few apps, just not ones that are exclusively in the App Store. Is there any particular app that you're looking for?

It's just I see the deals of the day and free for the day apps and think they look cool, I sisn't realise the App store was exclusive to certain mac's I thought I had a problem

I also have a virus problem I wonder if anyone can help with? I started a separate thread but it got buried, I think I have some sort of remote desktop software on my Mac, how can I tell and what can I do about it?

Can you be more specific? What makes you think that you have this problem?

I often think I see my mouse move on my own, and thought I saw things I wasn't typing appearing on my screen the other day.
I have turned all sharing off, ran two virus checks, nothing.
I'm a little paranoid at this point that there is Keylogging software as well, I suspect an old housemate.
I have checked in the running programs in the Terminal tab, but honestly have no idea what I'm looking for

Thanks

Could be a dirty mouse or a mouse pad that doesn't quite work properly with your mouse.
