iCloud syncing problem

I have an ipad 2 and my daughter has an iPhone 4 and both of our contacts, reminders are converging on one anothers devices when the cloud automatically syncs. How can we use iCloud and yet separate our data? thanks

You have to have a different AppleID on iCloud to keep information separate. That would solve the contact/reminder merging, but doesn't help much if you are trying to also sync iTunes between the devices.
