Finally have a PB on order. I have heard that if you have an extra battery in a PB, it will stay on long enough for you to switch it out in sleep mode. Is this true?

It works just fine on my 667 TiBook, I can switch back and forth without a problem.

weird.. i wonder why they would go backwards with something like that? My TiBook 667 the battery can die, so it puts my computer to sleep.. I take out the battery, put in a new one and just hit enter and it wakes back up.. hopefully they brought it back for the new powerbook that Im going to purchase today!

Im not sure what you mean...

But on the apple website it says this:

"Battery Sleep Swapping
Did you know you can swap out batteries on your 15-inch PowerBook with virtually no interruption to your work? Put the PowerBook to sleep, remove the battery;, pop in a new battery; and wake your PowerBook up. You don’t even need to save open files."

I meant what size yours was--12", 15", or 17"--but your post has just answered my original question.

Might be a feature lost between TiBook to AlBook transition.
