Hi I'm just wondering is this entry level hard drive upgrade from 320 to 500gb on the 13 inch MacBook pro going to be the only update on the pro for awhile or is it wise to wait for awhile for new updates, so in other words will there be a redesign in November?

There likely won't be a redesign in November or any time soon. The latest models are named as "late 2011 updates to the MBP". You won't see an update to the MBP line probably until sometime next year when Intel announces the latest in CPU technology.

There was also a mild bump in CPU speed across the whole MBP line.
I don't anticipate a major change anytime soon so if you are interested in one, I would just go for it.
