Photo Events Created in Photo Library Show up in iPhoto Library on Import?

One cool thing about the new iOS5 is that I can now create photo events within the photo app. I have created an event with my phone, but I was wondering if this event would automatically be created in iPhoto? When I load up iPhoto with my iPhone plugged into the computer, iPhoto shows the pictures on my phone. I dont' see a function or any indication that iPhoto recognizes my event I had created in my phone. Is the event on my phone suppose to automatically show up on iPhoto or do I have to recreate the event on iPhoto? Both my phone and iPhoto are on the latest version.
