App from Mac App Store not in applications folder on the dock

An app I purchased from the Mac App Store (XChat Azure) does not appear in the applications folder on my dock even though it's in Finder Applications and also in Launchpad.

I've changed sorting, display, and the view content options for the applications folder on the dock, still it's not there.

Any suggestions?

Did you reboot the machine and then check? If that doesn't work, open your terminal application and type the following:


That will restart the Dock application.

No, I didn't so I don't know if that would have fixed it. But I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and all is fine now.
