Two message threads, sms and imessage, for each contact!?

Hello!

I have two threads for each of my ios5 friends in messaging- one for imessage, the other for sms, even though their imessage email address has been added to the contact. This is really annoying.

Any solutions? Any ideas whether this is a bug or a feature?

A bug, and one that I am not experiencing...

Is it one thread of just SMS messages and an entirely different thread of iMessages?
