problem dual booting macbook with xp sp3

Macbook 3.1 (T7500) OSX 6.8 2.2Ghz 2.5GB 128gb SSD
I want to double boot my macbook.
bought a snow leopard install disk
bought a new Windows Professional SP3 off ebay (start up disk for a dell)

using boot camp assistant tried to install xp but it said disk
"disk error press any key to restart." no response from keyboard,

did a cold start on the windows disk, same results.

any ideas?

You cannot use a Dell branded disc - or any other manufacturer's disc.
All of those discs have been modified to function only with certain hardware.

You will need a full retail copy of Windows or an OEM (for System Builders) copy.
