macbook pro hdd help

i lost the password so i ended up taking the hdd out and reformating it now im tring to install osx 10.7 and setup does not see the hdd can someone point me in right direction please

How are you trying to install Lion? What are you using to install it (App store download, flash drive, etc) and how about some specs on your machine? Year, model?

with all the smack mac users talk about there machines are soo much better then pc's yet pc's ARE so much easier to work with. I never had a problem fixing one. anyways thanks I'll figure something out
