I Didn't read all the specs of the adapter that was on newegg. Don't think that adapter on newegg would work because you have the Motorola processor on your iBook

First off, it depends on which iBook G3 you have. Check the following chart to find your iBook and which port it has - or doesn't have - link.
I don't believe any of today's USB to VGA external cards are going to work. Am pretty sure all G3s have USB 1.1 and that those cards all require USB 2.0 and are not backward compatible.
