Apple releases minor 4.4.1 software update for Apple TV

Less than a week after issuing a major update to coincide with iOS 5, Apple has provided another minor update intended to fix bugs for its Apple TV set-top box.

interesting......my ATV says the software is up to date, but it still maintains it is software 4.4, and not, as advised above 4.4.1.....

maybe i need to rest again..

If anyone can't get 4.4 or 4.4.1 to update on their ATV, you can get it by plugging your ATV into your computer via micro USB and update in iTunes. Just remember to unplug everything but the micro-USB (including the power cord)

It fixed mt ATV2 issue with it constantly stating it couldn't connect to the iTunes store. That wasn't a big deal, but since my Apple ID is tied into Home Sharing - it rendered the device mostly useless. I had to run the SW Update twice... once for 4.4 and once for 4.4.1.
