I love the way it looks, they go for 30-50 on eBay.. Id have to buy some ports and a keyboard+mouse.. but id love to be able to have a bigger screen when im sitting around my house.

Not without an ADC to DVI adapter.

And if your 2008 MacBook does not have a full sized DVI port (which I believe it does not) you would need a 2nd adapter to adapt your MacBook's video port to a full-sized DVI.

Anything with a DVI port/cable.

You will still need a video adapter...since your MacBook probably has a mini-DVI port.

Nice monitor. I'd love to buy one like that instead of having to buy that expensive new Apple Display!

In case you didn't know...that monitor pictured in post #1 of this thread could be as old as 10-11 years...and the original cost depending on the model (hard to tell in the photo):

- 15" $999 (in 2000)
- 17" $999 (in 2001)
- 22" $3999 (in 2000, yes...that's $3999!!!)
- 23" $3499 (in 2002)

These days (10-11 years later)...the 15" and 17" can be purchased for under $100...and technologically are "dinosaurs" compared to modern LCD monitors. Add 10-11 years of use (and maybe abuse)...and many are not in very good condition physically either!

New/modern LCD monitors are much better...but they may not have the "style" that some folks like of the older Mac LCD monitors.:)
