Factory Unlocked i4 not updatings to iOS5

(Early 2011) MBP 15" 8gb ram/ 2ghz intel i7 27" iMac 3.2ghz Intel i3 4gb ram 1TB HD iPhone 4 16GB UL
i purchased the unlocked iPhone 4 from apple & tried to update to OS5 but it says the device is not available for the requested build... has anyone else had this problem... or know of a way to fix it

yeah idk why but i just tried it on my macbook pro & it worked first try
