Hi all,
Is the facility to create a slideshow from photos as in say iPhoto,a built in option only or is it possible to create a slideshow, save it and burn to a disc? Or does one have to purchase a programme to do that? Thanks

Not sure of your specs Irishman but if you have iPhoto 08 and beyond you should be able to do it by selecting the slideshow, clicking on Share on the menu, click send to iDVD and that app will open up for you to export the whole slideshow, make any final adjustments and then click the "burn" button at the bottom next to the "play" button.
Cheers

You can also export a slideshow as a movie.

Hi,

To add to what MightyGem said, if you have say three slide shows ( about same topic) you can use quick time player to join them together as one neat show.:D then burn to disk.

If you close the Preview window, in the bottom right hand corner of the main iDVD Project window should be a circle. Just click on it to burn to disc. If there isn't a disc in the drive it will ask for one.
