SHould I upgrade to Lion?

My macbook Pro is company owned, 4 years old and no longer covered by apple care or any other warrenty. Boss said they are not planning to upgrade to lion anytime soon. However, I can do what I want but I'll be out there "on my own" if there's a problem since it's not supported by the company yet.

Is it worth the upgrade? I am running iOS 5 on my iphone 3GS and ipad 1 and would really like full use of iCloud but have mobileme until June.

(I'm currently running 10.6.8 on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 duo processor.)

If upgrading to Lion will make your computer incompatible with other company resources (such as software applications, signing into networks, or printing)...then I wouldn't do it.

If this is the case...then you'll just have to wait until your company upgrades to 10.7...and everything is officially 10.7 compatible.

And to reinforce what Nick says, if your company uses any powerPC applications you will be out in the cold. Stay with what the boss supplies f.o.c.
