ical sync

I'm having problems with ical syncing over iCloud. It all works great except when I try to put in an event that is more than 2 months ago. If I use my iPhone to do it, it appears on my mac, but not on my iPad, it then seems to delete itself from my iPhone.
Any ideas??

What number of days is your iPhone/iTunes set to sync older events for in your device's 'Info' pane?
