upgrade to ilife11

Hi,
I have just upgraded from OSX 10.5.8 to 10.6.3 Snow Leopard and have also purchased ilife11. Before I install ilife11 I see there are a few internet posts suggesting potential problems such as losing photos in iphoto.

Are these isolated problems and also does anyone have any handy tips regarding the upgrade? Full system backup in place!!

When I upgraded to iLife11 from iLife08 it kept all my photos intact. The newer version of iPhoto is a bit different but it still works the same and all your photos should be safe. However, as a precaution I would back them up anyway.
