iPhone 4S & Apple Digital AV Adapter?

Hi everyone,

I'll be getting my iPhone 4S hopefully within the next 40 minutes or so (FedEx is scheduled to deliver by 10:30am.... I hope ).

I was thinking it would be neat to get the Apple Digital AV Adapter to go with it.

• Has anyone tried this with their iPhone 4 or iPod Touch?
• When viewed on a home sized TV does the image look good?
• Any comments pro or con?
• Any alternative suggestions instead (like an aftermarket adapter?)

I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time ) but I thought to use AirPlay you needed the Apple Airport. I don't have that (or Apple TV either).
