MBP accessory question

I have a Macbook Pro, and want to hook it up to a monitor, use a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Will any monitor, wireless keyboard, and mouse hook up/pair with my Macbook Pro?

It depends on the model of your MacBook Pro. There are some that have a DVI output and others (newer models) that have a miniDisplay output and will require a miniDisplay to whatever (HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.) adapter. So to answer your question, in short, yes you can connect it to an external display and use a wireless keyboard and mouse (I do that often).
