iPod Music Cuts Short

I just recently bought a Macbook Pro and I transferred all of my music onto the computer into iTunes, all of the files play fine in my music library on the computer. When I went to sync my new library with my iPod, all songs were said to have copied and been synced. However, now when I use the iPod some songs won't play at all, and others cut out midway through and it moves on to the next song. Both songs I've directly downloaded to my macbook as well as ones transferred from my iPod are having issues. From researching the internet, it sounds like it might be my iPod that's the problem. Is this the case? does it have bad drivers and need to be replaced?

I am having trouble with this too. But my song also cut out on my Macbook pro also. Did you find the answer to this?
