Release of i0S 5

Am I crazy, or shouldn't the lock screen look different? I thought that was one of the new features in iOS 5?

I thought so too but I think what we saw in the demos was the new notification that made it look different. Besides the new camera feature, the new notification is the only thing different in the lock screen.

You will only see that if you have more than one notification. They will then show up as a list and you can swipe across to go right into that app after you enter in your password if you have one. I've noticed that individual notifications now have an icon of the app that's notifying you which is nice because sometimes I don't know which app is notifying me with a message in the past.

I'm really loving iOS 5 on the iPad. The split keyboard will take a bit of getting adjusted to, but I already find it easier to use than the standard keyboard layout. Double tapping on a word highlights it and presents one with the option to define that word or suggests to use other words related to it, such as past or future tense.

I also experienced one restore failure, but thought it wise to simply re-try straight away, and to my delight, that worked.
