There's more than enough space, the guy said it's both Mac and PC compatible.

It's actually an old iMovie compressed into a full quality Quicktime movie that I am giving to an old friend as a gift for a Japanese friend with a PC but when I drag it onto the usb I get:

The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code 0).

Please help!

If it's Mac and PC compatible, it's probably formatted at FAT32 which has a limitation on file size. Make sure the QT movie is less than 4GB. If it's larger, get a bigger hard disk.
