Howdy,

My iMac G5 recently died, I now have the HD sitting in an enclosure, and I'm preparing to transfer everything over to another iMac G5, which I snagged from work.

Essentially what I'd like to do is:

a) remove everything from the iMac (everything has already been backed up)
b) transfer everything from the external HD onto the iMac

I'm hoping it will be like having my old iMac back.

Any tips or suggestions for completing the above would be much appreciated. I've never done this before.

Cheers.

a) if you already took the drive out of it, you're already removed all the data from it

b) Open up Migration Assistant on the new Mac and away you go - link.
