User profile copy?

Hi,
My better half and I have always shared a user account, but now I am looking to create separate accounts for us.

Is there any way to copy profile information from one account to another. I'd like to be able to see all photos and movies created under the original shared account in the new account with the iphoto and imovie apps?

I'm not sure, but you should be able to open up the file/directory permissions for what you want to access. After that, you can launch the application while holding down the option key (as the new user) and navigate through the file path in finder to select the "library" you want to open. There's a possibility that with some applications like iPhoto or iMovie you may have to choose one or the other person's Apple ID if you use a MobileMe account to post photos (for example).
