displaying black and white

Hi,

Don't know if this is hardware or software related. My monitor suddenly displays only black and white and a negative image (whats black is white and vice versa). I don't know, video card?, OS issue? Checked usual, preferences, monitor settings

It's a g4 1.25 mirror drive door running OS 10.3

Anyone experience this or have any ideas?
