Hello all,
I'm looking for a little assistance to a problem I've been having for a while now.
I recently set up a home network myself and my two windows laptops seem to have no problem identifying and communicating with each other. However, my mac is undetectable on both windows PCs and my mac even can't view either of the windows PCs on its own network folder.
Some things to specify:
-I have 3 PCs on the network, one Windows 7, one Windows Vista and one macbook, which runs Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
-File sharing is on on all PCs
-I run Norton 360 on the two Windows PCs
Some things that I've tried and failed:
-Changed the name of the workgroup on all PCs
-Can connect to both Windows PCs by using the Connect to Server on Finder (Both by using the name of the PC AND it's IP)
The funny thing is......I can view the Network Map on Norton 360 and this shows all devices on the router (even my mac), but its not on the network in Windows or Mac.
Any advice and solutions is GREATLY appreciated thanks!
