Hello,
I have a MacBook Pro with Lion. Is there a way to delete text left to right without holding the shift key and pressing the cursor key then pressing the delete key?
Thanks,

A

Not that I know of. Shift + command + right arrow and then press delete is what I use. The reason for doing it that way is you have to highlight the text first. Using a full size keyboard you could keep pressing the back delete key as an alternative but that is just too tedious.

I think Applebit is asking if there's a "forward delete" as would be found on a PC. The answer is yes -- just hold the function key (fn) while deleting.
