Ok so here is a new game idea:

Name that mac. to start us off:

i post a pic of a mac, or other apple related stuff.
someone guesses it.
the person that guesses it gets to post a pick of something else apple related. Then others try to guess it etc. good luck
-also take to note you dont have to show the whole computer.(if you dont show the name, it makes it a lot harder :)

I'll start off.

you can also give a hint if you want to

Hint: this was the only black desktop mac apple ever produced. :headphone

Quadra 700.

MacEFan: The Mac TV wasn't the only Macintosh for the consumer market in black, the Peforma 5400/5500 sold in the UK in a black version.

I waited a while to see if someone else would give it a try but no one did. It's a Performa 500 Series which could be a 520, 550, 560 ETC. The pic is the same for them all.

I'd of said Centris 650... anyway :flower: (used to own one some time ago before I cleared out what was beginning to look like a Mac scrapyard!)

eMate 300 is that one though.

Vicky :flower:

EDIT: picture slightly changed for good reason :flower:

That machine I posted was really a IIVX. I found one at a Thrift Store for $10 once and picked it up. The case is just like the Centris 650.

I have a feeling you did some photoshop work on that Mac. I looked at all my collection and all over the net and it looks like you may have painted the cdrom door black to throw us off! I hope I am correct but here is a stab at it, Power PC 7600 or one of the 7000 series. It's the only machine that in any way I can see with powerPC to the Left of the Floppy and that button down there. Let me know if I was right or close.

Bang on, well it's a 7200/90 but you wouldn't know that from the pic, but same case. The CD eject button is the give away, its rectangular not circular like on the Gossamer Beige G3s. Some of the latter do have the PowerPC logo so it was the CD eject button :flower:

As for the CD-ROM, no Photoshop - it's just lacking its CD-ROM drive :flower: I removed it to put in the 8500 as the one in the 8500 would not read CD-Rs. In fact it's ready for being junked, as it bombs on startup, but the case is in great condition....

As for IIvx... I quite forgot the Centris 650 actually used their case!! That's what you get from a IIfx owner I guess :p

I'll leave this one for someone else!...

That has to be a Apple 2gs. I had a II+ and IIe but never a IIgs.

No one ever got my last one I posted. Any takers? Hint, Power Mac something.
