iPod Touch 4G corrupt after sync

Hello, my ipod touch 4g gets corrupt after every sync on my Packard Bell TM-80, with iTunes 10.5.0.77. After every sync i get the message "iTunes could not back up the iPod "Fred's iPod" because the backup session failed.".

Um... Restore as new, and see if that works out.
