I'm still getting used to my Mac, and I'm wondering which processor/suite to go with: iWork or Microsoft Office.

I've always used Microsoft Office on my PC, but I've never tried it on a Mac. I've been using the 30 Trial Version of iWork, and I have no major complaints, but I would really like to try a Trial version of Office before making my decision (hey, it's a lot of money for a starving college student!)

Does anyone know if there is a trial version of MS Office available? I couldn't find one on the apple site...

What do you have to say about iWork and/or MS Office for Mac?

Thanks for taking the time to read :)

You may already know this... but iWork has not been updated as a suite for some time. The applications (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) have been updated separately for Lion and are sold for $19.99 each through the Mac App store.
Personally, that's how I would purchase them.

MS Office 2011 Home and Business version includes Word, PP, Excel, and Outlook 2011. Depending on how much use you get out of each application, it may or may not be a worthwhile investment. I bought the three install version and use it for quite a bit of the work I do at our small business.

You could give Open Office a shot its free would have said Neo but it seems to lock you into a paypal donate which is ok if it works for you.
I use iWork and like it for what I do since our business is not Windows dependent.
Our clients that are Windows dependent seem to like Office for Mac if they are not
running a VM or BootCamp.
