yes, weve all seen the lovely American models talking to Mrs Skynet (SIRI) on the iPhone 4S, but who reckons its gonna be crap for us Brits and Aussies?

BBC tried it and it understood Mum instead of Mom. They said that they thought it was going to work with accents.

Don't feel bad, I'm Southern and I don't fit those American models well myself.

To be honest, Siri sounds almost exactly like the voice found in Ford Motor Company's SYNC system.

I for one would want to see this on other iOS devices after it gets pulled out of BETA phase testing.

I've read that Siri is supposed to "get better" over time, and eventually understand your voice better with increased use. That could be a hyped rumor though

You could always just speak with a proper accent. It wouldn't be an issue then. :p

Haha! Since I didn't grow up here, moved here 21 years ago, I don't have the New England accent..but my daughter definitely does..forget rolling her R's, she downright swallows them..:)

MacSpeech Dictate worked wonders for me and I'm Egyptian with a decent accent, so I'm guessing Siri is going to be even better on the iPhone 4. Lol.
