Hiya,

Can someone please help me?

I have a Mac Mini with an external hard drive as my back up (time machine) and running OSX 10.6.8 but want to wipe the lot and put the machine and external hard drive back to as it was when I bought them. Can you please assist me in a pretty simple way as I am a dumb **** and need it that way. I have the original install disk plus the upgrade I bought to tiger when it came out.

Many Thanks in advance to those that help me.

:+))

Your Mac's Specs
2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Here you go:

- boot from the original disk (disk #1)
- at the 1st screen you see...move your mouse to the top of the screen (where the menus normally are)...and launch Disk Utility
- do a secure erase (1 or 3-pass). This will securely erase the HD (this will take some time)
- quit Disk Utility
- do a new install of the OS from the disk.
- done
