Macbook Pro hard drive upgrade

Hi,
I have had my 13" macbook pro since 2009, and bought it with a 250gb hard drive, thats now full so I want to upgrade, will this hard drive from amazon "Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1 TB Hard Drive, SATA, 7200 RPM, 32 MB Cache" fit? because I think I am looking for a 2.5" drive and I couldn't find the dimensions.

I believe the Seagate Barracuda drive is too thick to fit and cool properly. The drive dimensions you need are: 2.5" wide and 9.5 MM thick and of course the drive must be SATA. Look for those dimensions when choosing a new hard drive for your machine.

Thanks for the help, one last question, do all the 1TB hard drives has a lower rpm? I noticed these have a 5400 rpm compared to 7200 rpm on the 750gb models, will this effect performance? and make the macbook slightly slower?

Sometimes you can't have it all. If you are worried about the speed differences then just go ahead and get a 7200 RPM. There is always a trade off. Currently there are no 7200 RPM 1TB drives that are 9.5mm.
