iphone 1601 error....

Hi,

I am new to this forum, and desperately need some help. I have got a 3g that won't restore. Every time I try to restore the software I get a 1601 error.

I have tried a number of solutions I have found on the internet, but none work. Such as iREB, forced DFU, removing firewalls etc.

I am completely lost as to what to try next...........................

Hi, i take it you are logged on to your pc or mac as administrator and you are trying a clean restore to Apples latest firmware 4.3.5. Have you tried downloading firmware 4.1 for the 3g from felixburns and doing a shift restore, i think Apple are still signing 4.1 for the 3g and 3gs. This may change next week when iOS 5 drops..........
