Which operating system

Hi.

I'm trying to find the right Java version to download to my computer, but to do that i need to knorw the exact version of my operating system.
Under "About this machine", i see that i have mac osx 10.6, but shouldn't there be another desimal there?
And how do figure out whether i have Lion, or Panther and so on?

Apple maintains their own version of Java for OS X. Although this will eventually change, at the moment, this is what you'll see if you try to download it:

The only reason I mention it is that there are quite a few exploits for Java (and since it's Java, they can be cross-platform). So I just want to make sure you understand what you're downloading.
