I bought a new MBpro 17" last week. It came with 4gb of ram. It seemed to run slow when I had Win7 running in fusion and all around was just not as peppy as I thought it should be. I ordered a 8GB memory kit for $50 and it is like night and day. Probably the best $50 I have ever spent on a computer item in terms of bang for the buck.

Now depending on the specs of your MB, see if it will accept a 64 bit version of Windows 7, as the 32 bit will only access 3.5GB of memory.
