Ok - I'm dropping out of school - gonna start my own business - The IRS is very clear about writing a computer off as a biz deduction ... no personal use allowed.

I've got a mini which I could xfer to the business - but I still want a mac desktop for personal use - email - light gaming - Garage Band - Itunes - etc

And I want to keep this under $900. So it looks like either
- I buy a second mini + LCD
- Buy a refurbed 17" G5
- Buy and eMac (but whats the story on these - are they still being made - all I see are refurbs on the Apple sight)

And - in general - whats been your experience buying refurbed iMacs / eMacs

I'm confused ----- THANKS

eMacs are still made they are just being marketed towards education instead of consumers. I would go with the refurb iMac G5.
