I find it amusing and interesting that the icons show exactly what's going on - Tuesday the 4th, 10:00, at Infinite Loop. Gotta love the Mac Marketing Machine.

This didn't say it was a keynote, but rather a press conference. Am I confusing the terms here from the past?

A "keynote" would typically be a main speech associated with a larger event. This is an event all its own, so it's just a press event - an opportunity for the media to receive information directly from Apple and then speculate wildly what it all means.

Nice! And the other two icons:
1) I-280 passes right through Cupertino, CA
2) It shows "1" missed call. Does this hint toward only one new iphone, and not the two that have been rumored?

Be nice if its coming out with 4G.
Here in Australia Telstra just opened up a 4G network in all Capital Cities 2 days ago, and expanding as time goes by.
Doubt it though :(

Since the message bubble is the new icon for centralized messaging in iOS 5, I'm expecting them to announce the release of iOS 5 on Tuesday, probably new phones to go with it.

TIA!
