is there a way to wipe a hard drive clean without the computer actually booting? hd is corrupt and the imac g4 wont boot. any ideas? i am trying to install tiger on it when it freaked out.

Boot with the Tiger DVD by holding down the "C" key after the chime. When it gets to the installer run the Disk Utility.
