Pre Purchase Help

hey there...i was planning on buying the new 27 inch imac & wanted to figure out my table top arrangements...

could anyone who already owns it please tell me what the height between the resting surface & the bottom of the main unit is? (when the screen is straight...not tilted up or down)

3 inches or 7.62 centimeters

Approximately 2.75" inches with the monitor perpendicular to the stand or a desktop. I have read where individuals were able to change that but it requires some disassembly and modification. Do some Googling and you should come up with some interesting solutions. I believe there are also several U-Tube videos describing the process.
