OS X 10.7 column view

How do I get it to auto sort my files in ascending order for date created instead of descending

Every time you click on the heading in Finder, it will reverse the sort order.

I'm sorry but can you show me where the heading is? I'm unable to find it in column view.

Sorry, wasn't quite thinking straight.
Can't change the sort order in column view.
You'll need to use list view if you want to be able to change sort order.

So then there is no way to keep the files in that order if I switch back to column view then? if not I guess I'll be using command+2 and command+3 to switch back and forth when I reach that folder
