the new logitechs dont have drivers for mac yet. So i wont recommend you to buy the newer generations right now. my g5 doesnt work on my mac.

if you want logitech u can go for the mx1000 laser, mx900(bluetooth) or the mx510. They are perfect for you if you want a few extra buttons to use for expose etc....

You can get USB Overdrive to program all of the buttons on the mouse. I use my MX518 with my iMac and have all the buttons programmed perfectly

Just found out that the cord for the G5 Laser is 80" ! I know this is a bit off topic but can anyone recommend a mouse similar to the G5 Laser but would be more suitable for a Powerbook G4, or should I just get an Apple Mighty Mouse?

I've got a G5 coming in the mail.

Just wondering something.
Still no mac drivers, doubt there ever will be.
So I download usb overdrive to assign the buttons, as this review mentions.
But it also says the following about USB Overdrive

"but the DPI buttons cannot be reassigned so Mac users should think of this as a six-button mouse.

So that means I can't assign the DPI up/down buttons to anything in the game, but they still work as on-the-fly resolution adjusters right?

cheers
